K-series CR Lite Retainers
CR LITE Retainers are experimental K-series dual valve spring retainers produced for us by Si Valves. They are made from hardened Cromoly steel and then swiss-cheesed with 6-holes to simultaneously shave some grams while providing lubrication to the spring top mating surfaces. The idea behind these came from engine building from the moto-x world.
Why Cromoly?
For durability and longevity!
While Cromoly cannot compete with Titaniums’ feather light properties, it can certainly outlast Ti 5x over in durability. Performance and weight wise we wanted to find a happy medium between factory OE steel and titanium retainers, and Cromoly fits that bill. If you know anything about valvetrain component motion chaos, retainers spin around at an ungodly rate. Ti retainers are known to wear thin from this spinning and can potentially break at some point if not inspected and maintenanced periodically. No need for that with Cromoly retainers!

A dual valve spring upgrade requires the following:
Dual valve spring set | dual valve spring base seats | 7-degree 5.5mm keepers/locks
(All OE single valve spring valvetrain components are completely incompatible with a dual valve spring conversion)
