Do you own a set of JDM golden era Honda head lamps that use those damned proprietary H4H type bulbs? You know, the bulbs with the annoying smaller diameter mounting flange? The bulbs that no where else in the world are used except in Asian territories? The ones that always cost just a little too much than typical H4 bulbs and are slightly harder to get? YEA THOSE. — well, we gotta solution for you bub!

Thanks to the explosion of LED headlight bulb kits on the market in recent years (phasing out HID kits), we found a brand that offers a kit that grabbed our attention. The brand FAHREN and particularly their H4/9005/HB2 LED bulb kit. For Honda applications, this bulb kit is for US spec 92-95 Civic’s/92-97 Delsol/96-00 Civic’s/CRV/Fit and several other Honda models. FAHREN offer several different types of H4/9004 LED kit models some having a non-removeable bulb base which are the kits you do not want if you’re trying to adapt these LED bulbs to a JDM headlight assembly. The Fahren kits we’re suggesting with removeable bulb bases are linked below.

After some inspecting & tinkering we made 3D printed H4H base adapters with excellent results! We’ve also tested a number of other Amazon brand LED kits with removeable bulb bases compatible with our adapters, but our top favorite by far is the FAHREN brand.

Note that we do not supply the mentioned FAHREN LED bulb kits, only the adapters.

Our 3D printed H4H adapters are a temporary material choice for now to keep costs down but do hold up fine under use and the heat they receive from the bulb base. We may offer a CNC billet version later, based on demand.
